Aloha Kealakehe Elementary ʻOhana,
I’m so excited to introduce myself as the new Principal of Kealakehe Elementary School! My name is Wendy Daniel, and I feel incredibly honored to be joining this amazing school community. For the past 13 years, I’ve had the joy of working in the Kealakehe area at several schools, and I’ve truly made Kona my home. Hawai‘i’s keiki hold a special place in my heart, and I’m deeply committed to helping them grow, learn, and thrive.
I want to take a moment to recognize and thank Ms. Nancy Matsukawa for her many years of love and dedication to Kealakehe Elementary. She has been a true foundation for this school, and I’m grateful for her guidance as I step into this new role.
My vision for Kealakehe Elementary is simple but powerful: to support the growth of the whole child—academically, socially, and emotionally—while preparing them for a bright and successful future. I truly believe that it takes a village to raise our keiki, and together as one strong, caring ʻohana, we can do amazing things for our students.
I can’t wait to meet all of you—our families, our community members, our wonderful students, and our hardworking staff. I’ll be in the office throughout the summer, so please feel free to stop by and say hello! Let’s start the conversation and begin this journey together.
Keep an eye on our school website for more updates as we get ready for a great new school year ahead!
With warmest aloha,
